I've had my Sortie now for a few days and have put about 150 rounds through it already. Mine is .177 caliber. I mounted a scope on it, Vortex Optics Crossfire II 2-7x32 Rimfire, Second Focal Plane, 1-inch Tube Riflescope - V-Plex Reticle, put on a silencer from Buck-Rail (www.Buck-Rail.com) with an adapter for the silencer from DonnyFL (www.DonnyFL.com). I ordered a much better but stock from Buck-Rail which should arrive tomorrow. I've been using the H&N Crow Magnum 8.8g pallets and they chronographed at about 760 ft./s. Hatsan warned me that I shouldn't put a silencer on it because that would cause it to Jim and it wouldn't index. I did not find a problem at all with the Buck-Rail silencer, which significantly reduced the report of that air gun back to a backyard friendly one. I enjoy target shooting with it in as much as it's very accurate, and should any trespassers of the four-legged Con come around to mess with my chickens, well, "trespassers will be violated". In short, I'm very happy with the Hatsan Sortie Tact in .177 cal. I'm a semi retired, service connected disabled war veteran living in Fairfield County Connecticut USA.
By the way, Buck-Rail.com has a MUCH better folding stock for the Sortie. Inexpensive and perfect! Check it out.
